The first step in the executive search process is to
understand our client's organization and key business issues. We will
visit with you and other key executives you designate to understand the
history, structure, and operations of the organization. Our purpose is not
only to gather an understanding of your business, but also to obtain a
profile of the culture of your firm. Clearly the most difficult aspect of
executive hiring is the "chemistry" fit.
Simply put, what are the personal and professional characteristics
needed to ensure a successful candidate selection. With your help we will
seek to obtain a profile of personal characteristics of successful
executives within your organization. In addition, we would like to review
any relevant documents, including product or service literature and
organization charts.
This meeting with the key members of an organization
will assist us in focusing the assignment, as well as obtaining a feel for
the organization's culture. Additionally, we have found that our
perspective as outside consultants enables us to assess the demands of the
position and add the dimension of "marketplace realities"
learned from other searches. It is our desire to be as knowledgeable about
the organization as possible, prior to discussing the position with prospective candidates.
